FREE CA Perkins Nontraditional & Special Populations Workshop

Why: Perkins legislation requires you and your staff to participate in
professional development! The JSPAC makes that easy and inexpensive.
What: During this workshop participants will:
- Learn about Perkins legislation and the Core Indicators
- Analyze data for accuracy, program planning, evaluation and improvement
using Perkins IV - Acquire simple ways to clean up, increase accuracy, and improve data
- Discuss the Root Causes of & Strategies for addressing internal, situational,
and school based barriers that prevent students from being successful in CTE
programs & occupations - Identify the steps students should take as they select educational program or
career - Develop a unified regional team to close Core Indicator gaps and increase
student success
Who: Nontraditional & Special Populations STUDENTS; Academic & CTE Educators
and Teachers, Perkins Coordinators; Counselors, CTE Deans/Administrators;
Special Populations Program Coordinators; Title IX/504/equity Coordinators; CalWORKs One-Stop Directors & Staff; Student Support Staff; Grant Writers; Institutional Researchers; etc.

Parking:$2.00 permit required, available in each parking lot. The campus map and parking permit are attached above.The parking permit allows attendees to park in staff stalls near the bldg (lot H off of Gothard St. - far left lot), or they may park in staff or student stalls anywhere on campus.
